The Mass Timber Innovation Center at Terminal 2 will serve as the regional hub for showcasing mass timber technology’s potential.
Its location is at the heart of Portland’s industrial district, on the Oregon-Washington border, and is ideal for attracting and engaging industry, academia, government, and civic institutions.
The Innovation Center will provide:
- Opportunities to learn about and engage with mass timber
- Classrooms, meeting spaces, and a warehouse for the exhibition of mass timber products and prototyping
- T2’s 40 acres are already undergoing redevelopment as a Mass Timber Housing and Innovation Campus and will eventually host a mass timber modular housing factory and the University of Oregon’s Acoustics Research Lab (OARL)
